About the Beta Site

The EPSG registry is in the process of being migrated to this platform. This site is a pre-release and subject to change without notification.

During the current ongoing testing phase, the master EPSG Dataset remains available via the online registry at www.epsg-registry.org. All versions of the Dataset will be v9.8.x.

On switchover of the online registry to this new platform, two releases of the EPSG Dataset will be made:

- EPSG v9.9 in the existing registry and current data model at www.epsg-registry.org
- EPSG v10.0 in this new registry and new data model here at https://epsg.org/

Except for the data model changes, the data content of v9.9 and v10.0 will be similar.  At that point the 'beta' information will be removed from this site. Thereafter data updates will be made only in the new platform on this site.

The data in this beta test repository includes some data changes compared to the master EPSG Dataset caused by revision to the data model. It also includes data loaded temporarily to test software functionality. Downloads from this test site may not represent the most recent authoritative EPSG information. For an overview of the model changes see here.
