Coordinate Operation Method Details [VALID]
Name: Geographic2D with Height Offsets
Code: 9618
Operation is Reversible: Yes
Formula: Note: These formulas have been transcribed from EPSG Guidance Note #7-2. Users are encouraged to use that document rather than the text which follows as reference because limitations in the transcription will be avoided.

Lat_T = Lat_S + latitude_offset
Lon_T = Lon_S + longitude_offset
EllipsoidHeight_T = GravityHeight_S + gravity-related_to_ellipsoid_height_offset.
Example: (none)
Method
Parameters:
Parameter Name Parameter Code Sign reversal Parameter Description
Latitude offset 8601 Yes The difference between the latitude values of a point in the target and source coordinate reference systems.
Longitude offset 8602 Yes The difference between the longitude values of a point in the target and source coordinate reference systems.
Geoid height 8604 Yes Distance to a geoid surface from an ellipsoid surface along a line perpendicular to the ellipsoid surface, positive when the geoid is above (outside of) the ellipsoid. "Geoid height" is used loosely in the parameter name. If the offset is between the ellipsoid and the geoid then the offset will be the geoid separation N. When the offset is between the ellipsoid and a realisation of the geoid through a vertical datum then the offsets C will form a height correction surface. A height correction surface differs from a geoid model by small amounts due to the difference between the geoid and the actual datum surface, as well as some other assumptions regarding the gravity field.
